The IIFS’s library is unique in Germany: It is not only excellently
equipped with specialist literature on the subjects of Business, Taxation,
Tax Law and Finance, national as well
as international, but also has basic literature covering wider areas
of Business, Law and Finance. Especially remarkable is the comprehensive
range of national and international periodicals kept at the library.
As an example, you might wish to read Tax Notes International, European
Taxation or Tax Planning International. The library is intended for reference
purposes and is situated in Sedanstrasse 19 on the 4th floor. All books
and periodicals are available to read or can be ordered at short notice.
Additionally, the literature can be borrowed over the weekend. The users
of the library are University of Hamburg students, the Institute’s
research staff and visitors from Germany and abroad. The library has
18 reading desks, a photocopier and a CD-ROM player. The library is not
connected to an inter-library loan network.
